Despite narcissistheblogger being a Fashion and Events Blog, I will always extend a helping hand to others. It's not easy living with autism. Society does not accept the non-able body person. We feel sorry for them but it ends there. Show your support for these people by clicking "like" on their Facebook page. Do what you can for society and change the world one step at a time.
“With training and support, people with autism can work”. This is the message that the Autism Resource Centre (ARC) and Project Raw Gems aim to convey to employers, families and the public.
In partnership with the ARC, a group of final-year undergraduates from Nanyang Technological University have
initiated 'Project Raw Gems'; a campaign to champion the cause for raise awareness about autism and also to encourage businesses and the public to recognise the merits of people with autism and offer them a chance at employment.
As a long time supporter of the local autism community, Starbucks Singapore has partnered with Project Raw Gems to bring to light the many capabilities of adults with autism.
For 7 years, Starbucks Singapore has worked tirelessly with ARC's Pathlight School to support the autism community. With a kind hand from Starbucks, Pathlight cafe was initiated in 2005 to train vocational track students in food and beverage preparation. The cafe community project continues to be great training ground for the students. As a natural progression, Starbucks went on to provide gainful employment for graduates of Pathlight School - citing their attention to detail and drive for perfection as values that work towards making a perfect brew - and have taken three trainees under their wing to date.
As part of the campaign, we want to encourage your readers to 'like' Project Raw Gems Facebook Page (https://www.facebook.com/
