Gagarara Entertainment @ WIRED LIVE!

WIRED LIVE! is a monthly event featuring solo "unplugged" to acoustic performances held at Rewind Bar. It is an event held to promote local talent. the new live sessions encourages those who dare -and with the flair- to use this platform to express their creative talent in any way they choose to. So, if you can sing, play the guitar or the keyboard, you are meant to rock the stage at Rewind Bar every last Friday of the month. It's dim-lit atmosphere creates a "chill-out" ambience after having a long day. So, if you're tired after work and really want to chill-out, do head down to the bar and order a drink ranging from $10-15, and enjoy some acoustic numbers.

In the month of February, it features Gagarara Entertainment. Performers are Jared, Imran, d. They are the first band to kick-off WIRED LIVE! at Rewind Bar. They performed tunes like Pokerface by Lady Gaga, Love Me by Colin Raye, and a lot more. If you or your band, are interested to perform for this event, go start practicing now!

I was invited to the event to support Jared. I didn't know whether I could make it as I had an exam the following day and had loads of things to do. But the end, I decided to go down and bring my camera and the new gadgets that I bought and went over to film the event. It was really a nice get-together with friends and the sharing of talents  and ambience made the whole evening a relaxful one. I had problems with uploading the video initially, but I finally got it up! So, sit back, chill and get some popcorn ready and watch narcissistheblogger's first VLog!

McDonald Facebook Scam

Ever come across people tagging you to this event called Free McDonalds Voucher (Limited Offer) on Facebook?

Link: http://www.facebook.com/events/114526835341546/

Open your eyes big... cause this is a Facebook Scam! How do you know??? Click to find who the source is. It links to McVoucherc which is another page which you have to like. There is no information nor picture on that page. Reliable? No. McDonalds would not give out free vouchers on an unknown page nor unknown event. When facing with these kind of scams, remember...
  1. Does it sound too good to be true?
  2. Who is the source?
  3. Is it reliable?
  4. Are there any links to click?
  5. Nothing is for free...
A lot of scams are going on on Facebook such as Facebook is closing down... or Free iPhones, or free this and that. These my dear friends are simply scams. Think of it in a marketing and business sense. How could the company make money giving out free vouchers to an unlimited no. of people? Also, who could have done it? Do you think a fan of McDonalds would have done something like this?

Be people with brains... think before you invite a gazillion people hoping you would get a free McDonald voucher... they are just plain scams...

10 Facts of Plastic People

Ever encountered a person who you have wondered if he/she was being plastic or genuine? Ever felt that that person had intentions? Do you know how to read people?

The 10 NTB Facts of the Plastic Society(judgments are subjective)

  1. Smiles: They are usually fake, teeth broadly opened. You can differentiate a real smile from a fake smile through the person's eyes.
  2. Over-friendliness: It feels like the person hasn't seen you in years.
  3. Empty Promises: Claims that they will promise you stuff in front of others but in actual fact, they are just words.
  4. Flaunt the Brands: Ever seen someone claiming he/she owns a Ferrari but there is no living proof?
  5. Helpful: They claim super helpful to someone who is of a higher rank/status.
  6. Emotions: They seem constantly happy in front of people, but when alone, they are plain sad.
  7. Insults: They cannot take insults. Insults are like Oreo dipped in Ribena - disgusting and rare.
  8. Actors: If you have not reached it, act it. They make it seem as if they are of high caliber or status before reaching it.
  9. Lies: They love to lie. Bragging about each other's look. In actual fact, it's a backstabbing game.
  10. Beauty: They are often plastic inside and plastic outside.
Know anyone who fits the bill? Is he/she genuine? You judge!

In loving memory of Whitney Houston

"We are devastated by the loss of our beloved Whitney," Houston's family said in a statement through the singer's publicist, thanking fans for their outpouring of support. "This is an unimaginable tragedy, and we will miss her terribly." Read more: http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2012/02/13/whitney-houstons-death-follows-week-boozing-lifetime-squandered-opportunities/#ixzz1mHZUZVEp

The death of late Whitney Houston is tragic. This 48 year old diva was found dead in her bath tub. Rumors on her death circulate regarding a drug overdose or her drowning. However the cause of death of this music icon will only be confirmed in a few weeks after the autopsy is done. Nonetheless, Whitney Houston is another legend in the music and entertainment world. She has touched and changed many lives, including mine with her songs. My favorite song which she performed alongside with Mariah Carey is When You Believe, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eAM2-hg7xJs. The song speaks about all of us. When we feel that there is no hope, just keep believing cause there can be miracles, when you believe.

Despite being treated badly by her alcoholic husband, she was always able to stand strong on stage and be the beacon to many people who feel hopeless.

Angmohs who do not know how to behave themselves in Singapore should go back to their own country...

I was near Chinatown last weekend when an ang moh driver from the opposite side of the road swerved into my carpark lot...

At the carpark, the lot was in between 2 roads. However, to enter the lot legally, you would have to be on my side of the road, as the other side was blocked by the chevron marking on the road.

On the other side of the road, an ang moh driver with 2 ang moh passengers entered the lot despite me driving in. At the same time, I was entering the lot from the legally right side of the road. As I didn't want my car to get hit, I drove out as the driver did not get the hint that I was going in. I waited for him to park, and later horned. He came out of the car and I said, "you are on the wrong side of the road." He had the nerve to reply, "so?"

These type of foreigners spoil their own image of locals towards them. They do not abide to our laws and they think they own this land. After he walked off with his friends, not giving a hoot about the situation, I found a lot, took a piece of paper and wrote, "YOU HAVE BEEN STOMPED! www.stomped.sg." Put it on his windshield, took some pics of his car and left. A passer-by walked past and went to glance what I had written. That was funny! Seriously, if these kind of ang mohs do not know how to behave themselves in Singapore, they should return back to their country. Enough of road bullying, enough of self-centeredness, and I've enough of this kind of behavior!

Chevron Markings
"Diagonal white lines (hatched markings) bounded by broken lines may be used in the centre of the road to separate opposing flows of traffic. They are often provided at junctions to protect traffic turning right. They may also be used on the approach to a central traffic island or the startof a dual carriageway." - http://www.ukmotorists.com/marking_signs.asp

Ang moh
"A Caucasian or a white person." - http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=ang+moh

Better Than I Know Myself by Adam Lambert

Better Than I Know Myself is Adam Lambert's latest single of his second album. The single was released on the 20th of December 2011. Check out the music video on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lg31XQR22zg

I can relate to the song as it speaks of this cold, unemotional being who seems to push everything away from him but deep down inside, he yearns for love, and I at many times, am like that. Be it my parents, friends, close friends, mentors, and so on, I push them away when I feel I need their attention. It's typical human nature, so I don't think that I'm the queer one around. Well, psychologically, we push people away wanting to know how they truly feel or react about the situation. We want to be reassured that we are love. We need the attention. And sometimes, people know us better that we know ourselves.

Cause if I wanted to go I would have gone by now,
But I really need you near me to
Keep my mind off the edge
If I wanted to leave I would have left by now,
But you're the only one that knows me
Better than I know myself
