Music & Men's Fashion Week 2012 Day 1

Men's Fashion Week opened up with a Charity Night on the 18th of April 2012 featuring 2 fashion labels, Spencer Hart(UK) and Songzio(Korea). With it's theme for this year, Music and Fashion; 8eight and Sungha Jung and Megan Lee performed in between the 2 runway shows. Men's Fashion Week began with a full-house blast of VVIPs, VIPs, designers, celebrities, model agents and loads of other guests. 

The first fashion show featured Spencer Hart. Celebrities, such as P Diddy, Taylor Hackford and Benedict Cumberbatch, who attended the Oscar's Ceremony have worn pieces of Spencer Hart's collection. Though more on the formal side, some of these pieces have different cuts to differentiate itself from each design. Personally, my favorite piece from Spencer Hart's collection is the pic below. I feel it is unique with its fusion of mandarin collar and trench coat feel.

After Spencer Hart's show, 8eight performed. Following which was Songzio's collection.

Songzio's collection was stunning! There were pieces which I would have worn if Singapore wasn't as hot. However, though simple(no fanciful patterns), the designs were very interestingly put together for this runway. With it's subtle, edgy look, I would definitely want to own some pieces from Songzio's collection. Below is my favorite outfit from his showcase. I love the sleeves which ends off with a different material and how the pants is styled together with it to bring about an awesome, edgy look.

Robinson's Fashion Show at Avalon Social

Last night, I had a call from a friend that Robinson's was doing a Fashion Show at Avalon. I rushed down within the hour to catch the stunning outfits of their S/S collection. The models of course, managed to create the atmosphere with the various tracks they were playing ranging from modern pop to classical pieces from before I was born. As the genre of songs changed, so did the clothes. From more fun, modern clothes, to dresses and evening wear.

narcissisthephotographer is a freelance photography company founded by Wesley Kow which specializes in Fashion and Event Photography. The aim and mission of the company is to deliver high quality pieces of art which stand out from the norm. Wesley Kow is a young photographer with a talent to be reckon with. His thirst for knowledge and his will to improve himself makes him a sort after photographer. Starting his journey as a Diploma holder of Temasek Polytechnic Design School, Moving Images, he discovered his passion for still images, photography, and in particular, people photography, as it brought fascination of how a picture could tell a rich story.

Through his journey, he covered prolific events such as Men's Fashion Week 2011, Women's Fashion Week 2011, Audi Fashion Festival 2011, Orchard Fashion Week 2011, World Runway 2011, just to name a few, building up his name and repertoire in the fashion n media industry. Wesley has also shot for the F1 Exclusive After Party at Amber Lounge in 2011 which played host to celebrities like Taio Cruz. His works have been published in print magazines such as Neon 5 and Chic, and online media such as herworldplus.com, plussixfive.com and 2her.co. Apart from events, he has done a number of fashion editorials and portraits for magazines and private clients. Wesley has also done an editorial spread for MTV VJ Utt in his plight to enter the celebrity world, to become a celebrity photographer.

Running his own photography company, narcissisthephotgrapher, he aims to break from the norm, being different, yet with original ideas in his work, working for private clients, magazines and anyone who dares to try something different.

Just Cavalli Fashion Show on 1 March 2012

Attica presents Just Cavalli Fashion Show at Attica Too on the 1st of March 2012. The event was packed with fashionistas who were there to see Cavalli's latest collection. The event began at 11pm with Douglas and Joe performing some old tunes. With Fashion TV lurking around, everyone had to dress to impress for this event.

As for me, I went there together with Jen Su, Issac Ritz, Christina Chung and a few other friends. I managed to get up close and personal with the designs by Cavalli. I stood just below the elevated catwalk, whipped out the narcissistic cam and started shooting! There was live music throughout the runway by Douglas and Joe. I had a great time traveling through the crowd at Attica to get the shots and experience I needed!

Open your eyes big... cause this is a Facebook Scam! How do you know??? Click to find who the source is. It links to McVoucherc which is another page which you have to like. There is no information nor picture on that page. Reliable? No. McDonalds would not give out free vouchers on an unknown page nor unknown event. When facing with these kind of scams, remember...

1. Does it sound too good to be true?
2. Who is the source?
3. Is it reliable?
4. Are there any links to click?
5. Nothing is for free... 

A lot of scams are going on on Facebook such as Facebook is closing down... or Free iPhones, or free this and that. These my dear friends are simply scams. Think of it in a marketing and business sense. How could the company make money giving out free vouchers to an unlimited no. of people? Also, who could have done it? Do you think a fan of McDonalds would have done something like this? 

Be people with brains... think before you invite a gazillion people hoping you would get a free McDonald voucher... they are just plain scams...
